Collected Passport: May 27 ( 4:15 pm এ তাও অনুরোধ করে যে আমি সাভার থেকে গেছি। সাধারণত VFS 4:00 pm এই বন্ধ করে। যদিও আমি Collection mail পেয়েছিলাম 2:00 pm এর দিকে)
Interview Duration: Max 1 minute
Documents Needed: Passport, Appointment Confirmation, I20
Documents I carried: DS160 confirmation, payment slip, all certificates and transcripts, SEVIS Receipt, Photo, Offer Letter, and IELTS Score but none of those were checked.
Surplus: $16K+

(প্রথমে একটি Counter এ কিছু সাধারণ Yes/No type প্রশ্ন করে তারপর Passport জমা নিয়ে নিয়ে নেয় recent টা। তারপর randomly একজনের কাছে চলে যায়। সে মাইকে announce করে নাম। তারপর সেই Counter এ যেতে হয়।)

Me: MS — Major is Computer Science and specialization in Cyber Security.

Me: আমি আসলে MS শেষ করার পর Phd তে enroll করব তারপর শেষ হলে দেশে ফিরবো। এরপর আমি SDG এর GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth এবং GOAL 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure নিয়ে কাজ করব। আমার ভবিষ্যত ইচ্ছা Tata Consultancy service, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra এর মত IT ব্যবসা বাংলাদেশে শুরু করার। আমার ছোটবেলার স্বপ্ন আমি Microsoft এর মত কম্পানির সাথে প্রতিযোগীতা করতে চাই… … … … . আরও বলতে নিছিলাম (VO মনে হয় ভাবছে যাক বাবা এই ভবিষ্যত Billionaire রে হাত ছাড়া করা যাবে নাহ, ভিসা দিয়ে দেই =D =D )

Me: আমাকে ব্লু লিফলেট দেওয়া যাবে? এটার প্রতি আমার আলাদা Fascination আছে।
VO: ওহ দুঃখিত। আমাদের ব্লু লিফলেট শেষ।
Me: Okay. Thank you. Have a good Day.
(মনে মনে বললাম ভিসা ফি 13,760/- দিছি একটা ব্লু লিফলেট প্রিন্ট করে রাখতে পারো নাহ। ফকির মিসকিন কোথাকার ;P ;P )

CGPA: 3.32/4.00 (From CSE, JU — Graduated on 2019)
Publications: 1 book chapter Published from Springer (Mainly conference paper)
IELTS — 6.5 (R — 6.5, L — 6.0, W — 6.0, S — 6.5)
Internship: 2 months (UN Volunteers Bangladesh)|

Other universities I applied to:
USA: শুধু UTRGV ছাড়া আর কোথাও আবেদন ই করি নাই। কারণ আর কোথাও ফ্রিতে আবেদনের খোঁজ পাই নাই =D =D
Canada: Global Affairs Canada Scholarship এ আবেদন করেছিলাম। এবং ৬ মাসের Research Exchange program এ নির্বাচিতও হয়েছি। যদিও এটা করার জন্য Canada এর 10–12 টা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে মেইল চালাচালি করেছিলাম।
UK: গোটা 10–15 টা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আবেদন করেছিলাম ফ্রিতে। সব গুলোতেই Accepted হয়েছি। 2–4 জন 2000–10000 Pound Scholarship ও দিয়েছিলো।
Ireland: National University of Ireland — Professor suggested to contact later.
Sweden: SISGP তে আবেদনের জন্য করেছিলাম। University তে accepted হলেও SISGP হয় নাই। (ব্যক্তিগত মতামত Solid Full time 2 years+ experience না থাকলে SISGP তে আবেদন করে টাকা নষ্টের ই দরকার নাই)
EIT Digital Scholarship: হয়েছিলো 50% scholarship পেয়েছিলাম।
Spain: Universidad Rey Juan Carlos — Professor suggested contacting next year. They are in a fund crisis due to COVID.
Estonia: University of Tartu — Rejected
Erasmus: SECCLO, EDISS, SE4GD — all rejected
Hungary: Stipendium hungaricum — rejected from nomination level.
China: CSC scholarship — rejected from nomination level.
Germany: Applied at 8 universities. 3 already rejected! 5 pending for the result.
Italy: University of trento (Computer Science — Scored 74.5/100 — qualified for admission but no scholarship)
France: Applied at 2 universities. Accepted both.
Turkey: Turkish burslari — Pending for result.
Portugal: Universidade Nova de Lisboa — Professor suggested to apply but no funding
India: ICCR — pending for result
Qatar: Hamad Bin Khalifa University — pending result
Thailand: AIT — accepted with 50% fund
South Korea: GKS — rejected
Indonesia: KNB Scholarship — Embassy didn’t provide me with a recommendation letter. Probably they didn’t prefer my profile.
আর কোথাও আবেদন করছি বলে মনে পড়ে নাহ =D =D
সবশেষে মানুষজনকে উপদেশ দিব যদি আপনার আমার মত Mid level এর CGPA থাকে তাহলে কোথাও না চেস্টা করে USA তে চেস্টা করাই উত্তম। কারণ ভাত পেলে ওখানেই পাবেন আর কেউ গুণবেই নাহ। তাই বাংলা প্রবাদ মনে রাখবেন “মরতে হলে হাতির পায়ের নিচে মরাই ভালো”।
